Our law firm was founded as a limited partnership (partnership in commendam) in 1999. A general partner is Barbara Żuradzka, legal adviser. The roots of the firm reach 1988, when legal adviser Barbara Żuradzka and barrister Marian Żuradzki, as civil partnership "IUS", started to consult developing private business in Poland.
From the beginning, our company has specialized in the field of business law consultation. Now, the Barbara Żuradzka's partnership head office is in Katowice, the capital of Upper Silesia Region.
We are proud of informing our clients, that we are a member of Association Of Independent European Lawyers (AIEL), with the seat in London, Great Britain. Thanks to our associated law firms from European Union, border countries, USA, China and Australia, we can serve our clients also in foreign markets.
Four lawyers and two clerks are currently employed in our company. Our lawyers speak German, Russian and English. We also have the one lawer cooperating with us in Katowice, and another in Warsaw. At the moment we are thinking about creating an association of lawyer's offices operating in all capitals of polish regions - so called voivodships (now: 17). The founders of the office belong to Regional Bar of Legal Advisers in Katowice, and Regional Bar of Advocats in Katowice. Our lawyers are entitled to act in all courts over the country.
Our firm advises and represents the clients in all types of legal and financial/taxation problem-solving and in developing and implementing strategic and operating plans. We assist companies with formation procedures and negotiations on the disposal or acquisition of other enterprises, produce all the contractual documents and keep them under constant review. In ongoing business, we provide comprehensive advice on strategic planning, operational measures and contract formulation in connection with production, sales, advertising and marketing, and on questions of competition law, industrial property rights, customs law and labour law.
Some of our lawyers are the authors of some legal publications, books and dissertations. Alexander Stuglik, together with Agata Żuradzka published a book titled: "The protection of the employee's property. The responsibility of employer" (published by: CH Beck, Warsaw) in 2003. Alexander Stuglik also has written "Commercial law with commentary" (CH Beck 2001), "Commercial law for students Vol. I and II" (both together with another author, published by High School of Economy and Administration Publishers 2003-2004), and "Law for Firms" (CH Beck 2002). Our lawyer's publications and articles are still present in polish professional newspapers such as "Legal Gazette" "Work and Social Protection" "Scientific Publications of Jagiellonian University" and "Lawyer's Monitor". Our lawyers also participate as consultants in EU projects implemented in Poland, in trainings for Polish entrepreneurs, and work as assistants in law faculty in High School.
